Named after Auckland’s own premier riffmaster – and good friend of Kingdom Pickups – the JP Custom is designed for players who demand nothing less than massive, controlled power under heavy gain and drop tunings.
At the bridge, a hot scatterwind to around 15k paired with an Alnico 8 magnet and 12 solid steel polepieces pushes this pickup to its absolute limits – maximum inductance, colossal low end, and precise attack. It’s the perfect middle ground between ceramic force and Alnico touch response, giving you crushing authority without sacrificing feel.
Balanced with an Alnico 5 neck, wound to around 9k, the JP Custom offers a true best-of-both-worlds setup: brutal rhythm power and a neck that stays smooth and articulate under gain. Wax potted in our proprietary blend and wired 4-conductor, it’s built to dominate the heaviest genres while still giving you control at your fingertips.
